Quick Start Guide

When you order service, you should receive an email containing a username and password (likely what linked you here). Go to the dashboard website at irl.run and login with those credentials. It is recommended that you perform initial server set up from a PC or laptop.
Note: Username and/or password may be different from the credentials you created when purchasing the server, and can be changed

Once logged in, you should see a screen like this
StartServer

The remote server is currently shutdown. Click [Start Server] and wait 2-3 minutes as it spins up.
Note: If the server is turned on but not streaming and remains idle for longer than 15 minutes, it will automatically shut down and require spinning up again. Streaming or interacting with the Remote OBS will keep it online.

The Parts

When the server is ready you should see a screen similar to this.
ServerDashboard

  1. Navigation links to the Dashboard, Remote OBS, Settings, current stream destination, as well as shutdown and logout buttons
  2. Start and Stop buttons for the server. These control whether you are live on Twitch, YouTube or any other supported stream destination.
  3. Ingest controls. Mute buttons, current bitrate and a fix button used in case of buggy or non-responsive ingest.
  4. Scene switcher controls. You'll start with the default three: Ingest, Ingest Low-bitrate, and Ingest Offline.
  5. Screenshot pane gives you a periodic glimpse at what the server is currently receiving on the ingest.
  6. Bitrate graph gives you a 1 minute historical look at your ingest's bitrate.
  7. Server streaming status, uptime and bitrate status at the bottom for convenient at-a-glance updates

Each of these panes can be collapsed or expanded by clicking on the header.

If you plan on streaming to Twitch, click the [Twitch] button on the left side and authorize IRLToolkit to retrieve the stream key from your account.

For all other RTMP destinations click [Custom RTMP] and enter the Server URL and Stream Key.

Verify that your desired destination is highlighted in green indicating it is the current destination, otherwise click the SetAsCurrent button.

Configuring The Server

System Settings
At the top, click Settings then System

Here you will be able to set thresholds for the auto-switching system or disable it altogether.

You can also have the IRLToolkit Twitch chat bot join your Twitch channel to receive commands and report scene changes or other status messages to chat.
A complete list of chat commands can be found here.

Below this you will find the IRLToolkit ingest URLs and your personal stream keys. Keep this private.

You will need these to configure your streaming device of choice.
